I Choose What I Use – ecommerce & mobile website & branding
Twizzlebird was selected to design and build this e-commerce website, mobile website and produce a brand for I Choose What I Use, a company who sell vegetarian, natural and cruelty free skin, hair and beauty products for the whole family.
I Choose What I Use offers people the chance to buy vegetarian, cruelty free, natural skin, hair and beauty products for the whole family. This company saves customers reading every label and ingredient and looking high and low for products that are truly vegetarian, cruelty free and natural. They can just relax and enjoy the process knowing that they can trust all the products meet these standards. Furthermore there are products which are also organic, fair trade and vegan.
The navigation and layout of website makes it easy for visitors to find what they are looking for as products are separated into departments by either the user e.g. ‘Women’ by or ethic ‘Vegan’ there are also departments that feature gifts, new in items and more. On the homepage there is a helpful and enticing panel of departments to make it extra easy to find vegan only, fair trade only or organic products. I Choose What I Use are also providing regular ‘Did you know’ short articles with enlightening and useful tips and information, that functions like a mini blog that has been integrated into the site.
We designed and built the mobile site to be responsive so that it intelligently recognises the type of device/size of screen the visitor is using to access the website and resizes it so it works best for them.
We paired fresh and clean blue/green accents in the design with earthy natural browns and beiges that are evocative of natural and organic materials. The rich textural elements in the design coupled with the colour create a sense of indulgence yet an ‘ethical’ feel to give a pleasant shopping experience.
Drawing from this colour palette we developed ideas based on natural elements, which come together to create a sense of unity – to communicate the idea of the whole family. The logo was designed to be flexible for use on website, stationary and labelling.
